Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Solio Lodge Laikipia Safari

7:30 AM – Departure from Nairobi
Depart Nairobi early for a scenic 4-5 hour drive to Solio Lodge, located in the Laikipia region, renowned for its incredible wildlife and landscapes.
12:30 PM – Arrival at Solio Lodge
Upon arrival at Solio Lodge, enjoy a warm welcome and a delicious lunch. Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside, the Aberdare Mountains, and the majestic Mount Kenya.
3:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive
Set out for your first exciting afternoon game drive in the Solio Game Reserve. Explore the reserve, home to a rich diversity of wildlife, including white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of birds.
6:30 PM – Return to Lodge & Dinner
After the game drive, return to the lodge to enjoy a sumptuous dinner. Relax by the fire pit or under the stars, reflecting on your first day of adventure.

Day 2: Full Day at Solio Lodge Laikipia Safari

6:00 AM – Morning Game Drive
Start your day with a morning game drive to catch the early activity of the wildlife. This is the perfect time to spot predators and other animals at their most active.
9:00 AM – Breakfast at Lodge
Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast and some time to relax and enjoy the lodge's tranquil surroundings.
11:00 AM – Optional Rhino Sanctuary Visit
Visit the Solio Rhino Sanctuary, one of the most successful rhino conservation areas in Kenya, and learn about the conservation efforts in the region.
1:00 PM – Lunch at Lodge
Enjoy a delicious lunch back at the lodge and unwind in the peaceful atmosphere of Solio Lodge.
3:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive
Embark on a second afternoon game drive to explore more of the reserve. Spot additional wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species, while also enjoying the scenic views of the surrounding landscape.
6:30 PM – Return to Lodge & Dinner
After your thrilling game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and relax, or enjoy an evening at the bar with your fellow travelers.

Day 3: Solio Lodge to Nairobi

6:00 AM – Morning Game Drive
Set out for one last morning game drive, giving you the chance to observe any wildlife you may have missed on your previous drives.
9:00 AM – Breakfast & Check-out
After your morning game drive, return to the lodge for breakfast. Check-out and prepare for your journey back to Nairobi.
11:00 AM – Departure for Nairobi
Begin the drive back to Nairobi, with a break for lunch along the way. You will arrive in Nairobi by 3:00 PM.
