Embark on a 2-night, 3-day safari to the Mara Simba Lodge located on the banks of the Mara River, within the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Experience thrilling game drives, encounter the iconic Big Five, and enjoy luxurious accommodations in the heart of the Mara.
Day 1: Nairobi to Mara Simba Lodge – Arrival & First Game Drive
8:00 AM – Depart from Nairobi in a comfortable safari vehicle. Enjoy a scenic 5-6 hour drive through the stunning Great Rift Valley. Along the way, witness Kenya's diverse landscapes and the beauty of its countryside.
1:00 PM – Arrival at Mara Simba Lodge. After checking in, enjoy a delicious lunch at the lodge with panoramic views over the Mara River and surrounding savannah.
4:00 PM – Embark on your first game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The Maasai Mara is famous for its rich wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, cheetahs, and leopards. As the reserve is home to the Great Migration, you may even be lucky enough to witness the dramatic crossing of the Mara River by thousands of wildebeests and zebras (if traveling during migration season).
7:00 PM – Return to the lodge for a delectable dinner and enjoy a relaxing evening surrounded by the sounds of the African bush.
Day 2: Full Day Safari in Maasai Mara
6:00 AM – Rise early for a thrilling morning game drive. This is the best time to spot active wildlife, including the Big Five, as they venture out to hunt or graze in the cooler hours. Look out for cheetahs on the hunt or lions resting after a successful night.
9:30 AM – Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Enjoy a variety of meals as you unwind and take in the views of the Mara plains.
10:30 AM – After breakfast, enjoy a leisure-filled morning. Relax at the lodge’s pool, visit the Mara Simba Lodge shop, or indulge in an optional hot air balloon ride (additional cost), offering a unique aerial view of the Mara landscape.
12:00 PM – Enjoy a satisfying lunch at the lodge before heading back for an afternoon game drive.
4:00 PM – Afternoon game drive through the Maasai Mara, giving you the opportunity to discover more wildlife and experience the reserve’s vast plains, riverine forests, and rolling hills. You may also spot hyenas or even a leopard resting in the branches of a tree.
7:00 PM – Return to the lodge for dinner and relax, perhaps enjoying a drink under the stars with the distant sounds of wildlife in the background.
Day 3: Final Game Drive & Return to Nairobi
6:00 AM – Head out for your final game drive. This is the perfect opportunity to catch a glimpse of any animals you may have missed or to revisit your favorite spots in the reserve.
8:30 AM – After your early game drive, return to the lodge for a delicious breakfast.
10:00 AM – Check out of the lodge and begin your journey back to Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic drive back, with views of the Great Rift Valley along the way.
2:00 PM – Arrival in Nairobi, marking the end of your unforgettable Mara Simba Lodge Safari.
